Vice President of Product Technology &
Sybase Fellow
As Vice President of Technology, Bob Zurek has overall responsibility for the research and
development of new and emerging technologies that impact development tools at Sybase, Inc.
His responsibilities also include managing product technology, product development,
emerging technologies, as well as management and direction for the company's Internet
development
package called PowerSite.
He is also the technical advisor to all product groups on emerging technologies.
He has been involved with client/server technology since its inception in the late 1980s.
Prior to joining Powersoft, he served as founder and vice president of technology
for Infinity Systems, a leading consulting organization for top corporations pursuing
client/server and windows development with object-oriented approaches. He has also been a
contributing editor at DBMS magazine and a columnist for Data Based Advisor magazine.
Mr. Zurek holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of New Hampshire at Keene
State.
